Table for Two or Four

Foosball is becoming one of the most popular game sport. You will find these tables at Frat houses and at the back of sports bars.

There were some 150,000 foosball tables sold in the United States last year, compared with a peak of 250,000 in the late 70′s. The game can be still found in basements, corporate break rooms and student unions. Just alone the Yahoo has 15 foosball tables at its California head quarters.

Also surprising is the surge in growth comes from the worlds sports stage. With the efforts of the International Soccer Federation formed in 2002, foosball is now officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee, and this year the sport held its third World Cup competition in France where 500 players from 40 countries came together of three days of cut throat rod-spinning. Team USA, with “The Kid” clinched their second consecutive championship title.

We can see just how popular foosball is getting here in the US but also around the world. Maybe there may be a World Cup of table soccer!

Why a Air Hockey Table

An air hockey table can be a great addition to your rec/bar room where you, your family and friends, can have hours of fun playing game after game. You will be able to encourage your children to stay at home and play a few games of air hockey by investing in a table. You can get a lot of use out of your table when you party with neighbors and friends.

There is a wide selection of air hockey tables on the market today, they have become very popular over the years. An electric score board is common on most tables as well as air channels on the playing field. You can adjust the air flow to these channels to slow the puck down so that the little ones can play also.

You can buy an air hockey table online or from a merchant in your local area who specializes in hockey tables. Size is about the only determining factor when you are talking about price. You will surely be able to find an air hockey table that is just right for your budget.

If you need to have the fun and physical excitement then get yourself a air hockey table.

Foosball The Game

For many people, foosball is a fun and recreational pastime. For others it is a sport played competitively, often for money prizes. Sometimes it is played with strictly defined rules and other times it is played casually with only minimal rules. I have only played foosball for fun with friends and family so I’m not really up on all the technicalities of the game.

Very few people realize that the London inventor who invented foosball did it by playing around with a box of matches. Back in 1923, he was considered a soccer fanatic. He enjoyed the game so much that he felt like there must be some way to play the same game and create the same excitement indoors.

Beer Pong and Cards

We are always looking to put some great play and fun into our beer pong games. We have found a new one that has just done that and everyone that has played it has enjoyed the new play!

We have found a card game that is made for the game of beer pong by adding in a simple game of cards. These are the easy, simple rules to play by.

1) Normal “House” Beer Pong Rules Are In Effect.

2) Shuffle Cards And Place Them On The Table.

3) Each Player Will Turn Over A Card Before They Shoot.

4) The Player Will Need To Execute The Shot As Described On The Playing Card.

5) If The Card Has Been Played Before The Game Has Ended, Reshuffle The Cards And Place Them Back, Face Down On The Table.

6) Drink Responsibly And Have Fun.

Simple rules to play by, but we do place the deck of cards in the middle of the table for easy access to both teams. The cards tell each shooter what to do such as a drop shot, where the player looses a shot, and then there is the guest shot, this is fun, it is when the player must invite anyone other then active players to shoot in their place. There is a card that also is called the house shot and that is where the “House” writes their own rules. Then there are cards that have the shooters using arc shots, bounce shots and then the dreaded “Opposite hand shot”. There are many more of these cards that have the shooter doing other things with their shots that make beer pong more interesting and also fair for the players that have not mastered the game of beer pong.

For many people, clocks are usually one of the last things they buy for their home with the hopes finding that the timepieces will match the furniture or the overall aesthetic of the house. With so many furniture superstores and big box retailers gearing towards an abstract look, it’s best to look for something in the vein of modern wall clocks.

Even if the look of your house is inspired by 1950′s to 1970′s retro, the modern clock will give a hint of kitsch, and not necessarily in the John Waters sense. I added a neon wall clock to my game room, and it effectively enhanced the ambiance. No home is complete without a clock anyway, lest you expect your guests to ask you to take out your cell phone when they want to know what time it is.

Bouncing: The Hot Shot

In our set of beer pong rules the bounce shot not only eliminates the cup that it bounced into but another cup of your choice. This can be devastating to the opposition. Of course, this shot is difficult to use because the opposing team can slap the ball away before it reaches the cup. The keys here are distractions and skills. Below are a few distractions to use on your opponents.

The terrible shot – This has the first player take a wild and ugly shot. The shot should actually hit a player and ricochet elsewhere, or fly over their shoulder. If they are not watching for the bounce then both players may go and retrieve the ball together. Quickly have the second player of the team attempt a bounce shot.

Rapid fire – Try to shoot a bounce shot as soon as the first player takes his shot. This has a better chance if the first player sinks his shot in the cup. As the opponent picks up the cup, take your bounce shot.

The opposite sex - Have a member of the opposite sex flirt with your opponents. Lines like “Oh no, I’m out of beer” or “I’m really cold, do you have a jacket?” As your opponents heads turn to answer, bounce away.

If you have hesitated to take a bounce shot you need to try this out. If you sink two bounce shots a game this eliminates two cups. If you are playing with 6 cups, three successful bounce shots wins you the game. They maybe more difficult shots to make, but they are well worth it!

Electro Dart Boards!

Mad at something or someone? Then throw a dart! There are fewer things more satisfying than taking your aggressions out on a poor, defenseless dart board. Angry at your wife? Throw a dart! Made at your kids? Throw a few darts! Throwing darts can be great to relieve pressures of life. Darts is also a great game to play with friends and neighbors or to compete in – whether friendly or fierce competition. Dart boards have been in the pubs and bars across the country and world for years, but you might not be glad to hang around a bunch of dart throwers who have been downing whatever is on tap. So, it is a good thing that you have your own dart board in your own rec/bar room or even in your office. Arachnid is a leading manufacture of quality darts and dart boards. If you want to have fun and excitement of darts without an accidental missile strike, Arachnid is the ideal choice. Arachnid is the innovator behind the soft tip darts. These are darts with soft plastic tips. You can tell the difference between the soft tip dart boards and the hard tip boards by the perforations in the board. These fit the size of the dart point and have beveled edges that fit the dart point. Unlike dart boards that use metal tips, those used with soft plastic tips have sensors to measure the impact of the dart. The processor then calculates the score for the players. Arachnid brought this technology to homes and business the world over.

Rules to Play By

A great game of Beer Pong is if everyone drinks in moderation. This keeps it fun for everyone!

Lobs only (strictly enforced, not like regular beer pong. Every shot needs to have a 2′ to 3′ arc when thrown). Winning shots which are not lobs do not count. Re-do the point.

Cups go in the corners of the table ( paddle in from the side and back of the table).

Hoops in the cup= The person who got hooped has to drink a designated amount of beer ( set up before the start of the game).

Hits on the cup = one sip if it is not in the cup.

The point is never over until the ball is hit off of the table, or it bounces twice. A hit on the cup does not count as a bounce ( i.e. hit the cup then the table, you can still hit it back before it bounces on the table the second time)

All drinks occur after the point is over.

The team hooped has the opportunity to throw the ball back to into their opponents cup (either one) from their side of the table. If the throw back is successful, the person throwing back gets to decide if both teams drink, of if the drinks are cancelled. If the throwback is successful, the other team get a chance to throw back, thus nullifying the original throwback, and so on.

Doubles- partners rotate shots.

Singles- cups go to the center of the table ( paddle in from the edge).

Must win by 2 points.

Play to 21 or 11 if other teams are waiting for the table.

Other rules that make the game interesting.

Stoners: If the ball skips of the edge of the table before the other team can get a paddle on it, its declared a “stoner”. Although the team who made the stoner gets the point, they have to drink once since they got such a cheap #@%%$ point.

Space: If you forget the scores, or forget to drink or any other space, you and your partner have to drink.

If as a team, if one drinks then the other drinks! This is a team effort, “All for one and one for all” as the saying goes!
