Almost Gone

I have been having a really bad couple of weeks! I am fighting with my computer and have failed miserably! I had to update my security and the damn thing has taken one of my task bars down with it. I have been trying to find it, but with no success.

I see that most of the schools are out for the summer! I am hoping that many of you have not put up your beer pong tables but have taken them home with you. I must say this, “DO NOT PUT THEM IN STORAGE.” There is and always be time for the beer pong games no matter where you are at. Toss the beer pong table into the trunk of your car. Hey, not a bad idea!!! Now you can play beer pong anytime and anywhere you choose to play a game.

I am not able to get to my e-mail, google has chosen to close my account, but there are a few e-mails that have some news about up and coming event for beer pong tournaments. If I can get my account back I will relate them to you. I have been getting hacked in my account for a few weeks from some asses from Romania and Russia. I keep changing my pass word!

Anyway I am hoping that all of you out there will have a safe and happy summer. I would also hope that all of you grads will have a successful working life and that all of your hard work from school pays off for you! Beer Pong Rules!

Beer Pong at an Irish Pub

At $6 a game for beer pong you can play the game at a bar called Big Red’s Irish Pub & Pong. The owner Ryan Smithson, son of downtown bar mogul Larry Smithson, is using to beer pong tables to play on.You can find this garden-level bar on Forth Street, that has opened on St. Patty’s day.

This is the story told by: Erin Rudolf.

9:25 p.m. We arrive at Big Red’s Pub & Pong on a Saturday night. I attempt to order a Stella Artois. The bartender peruses the liquor bottles before telling me the bar doesn’t carry it. I decide it is best not to explain Stella is a beer and opt for a Bud Light instead.

9:26 p.m. We spot a Jesse Camp (former MTV VJ) look-alike standing at the bar. His highlighted, shoulder-length hair is teased and hair sprayed into a wild, stringy mess atop his head. And though the sun has long set and we’re all inside a garden-level bar with no windows, he’s wearing sunglasses. He’s on his way out. “Onward!” he exclaims, thrusting his pointer finger in the air, commanding the two-person entourage to follow behind. Too bad: I’m sure this guy could have provided enough fodder for an entire night’s worth of ridiculousness.

9:39 p.m. We spot four people near the entrance playing beer pong on one of the bar’s two dedicated sporting tables. A guy wearing a too-small T-shirt humps the table in rhythm to Katy Perry’s “California Girls” in an attempt to distract his opponent, a middle-aged woman with a plunging neckline, who is tasked with bouncing a ping-pong ball across the table into her opponents’ plastic cups filled with beer. The distraction works, as the ball ends up plinking around on the floor until it’s retrieved by a nearby drinker. This attempt to thwart each other’s game will progress in severity as the night goes on.

9:50 p.m. Tight Tee is again swiveling his hips, this time making kissy motions to “Born this Way” by Lady Gaga. His plight is unsuccessful, as the featherweight ball bounces off the table and lands effortlessly into a cup. He plucks it out and chugs the cup’s contents.

9:56 p.m. Tight Tee lifts his shirt, rubbing his treasure trail to distract Plunging Neckline. On the next turn, Plunging Neckline bends over the table, practically placing her bosoms on the rims of the plastic cups. An older gentleman propped up against the wall snaps a picture on his phone, admires the result, then appears to send a photo message.

10:03 p.m. A bartender grabs a microphone to announce the night’s beer pong tourney, scheduled to start at 10:30 p.m. First place wins a $75 bar tab, second a $25 bar tab, and third, a measly T-shirt.

10:08 p.m. Tight Tee loses. A valiant effort, but his hips were no match for Plunging Neckline’s assets and her partner, who is sporting penny loafers.

10:10 p.m. We notice a physically imposing 20something guy wearing a black Tapout shirt. He walks in, stands at the bar for a few minutes and leaves before ordering a drink.

10:17 p.m. The second Ke$ha song of the night. It’s followed by the second Lady Gaga song of the night. I’m convinced they’re playing the nation’s Top 20, so long as the Top 20 is comprised of only five or six artists.

10:28 p.m. Tapout returns and buys a drink for a five-foot-nothing girl wearing a hat that says “Team Snooki.”

10:30 p.m. Tourney start time comes and goes, and the beer pong tables are vacant. We hear nothing more regarding the tournament while we’re here. These particular bargoers must not have the enthusiasm for such undertakings.

10:31 p.m. Tapout gets “iced.” He bends his knees, his rear end perched on his heels, striped boxer briefs hanging out of his Diesel jeans. He tilts a bottle up over his head and chugs its contents within a matter of seconds. Yes, the entire bottle. Of the Zima of the 21st century: Smirnoff Ice.

10:33 p.m. Enrique Iglesias’ “Baby, I Like It” plays for the second time. We like to fist pump to Iglesias as much as the next guy, but two times in one hour? Almost anyone would agree that’s a bit much.

10:39 p.m. Ke$ha again.

10:40 p.m. Tapout kneels down and slams another Smirnoff. Strangely, the ladies around him seem to be impressed with his ability to put down the malt liquor. I’m beginning to understand why the bartender doesn’t know Stella Artois is beer. Malt liquor and domestic beer appear to be the drinks of choice.

10:45 p.m. Good god: Lady Gaga song No. 3.

10:56 p.m. Tapout chugs another Smirnoff while another sits on the bar, and yet another with its bottle cap intact peeks out of his back pocket. It’s getting harder and harder to pass this off as a bet from his buddies. He must actually enjoy it.

11:03 p.m. Yet another Smirnoff. I’m getting gut rot just watching, and decide it’s time to leave. Final tally for the night: three Lady Gaga songs, two Pink, two Enrique Iglesias, three Ke$ha.

Best Beer Pong Made Ever

These guys did a Fantastic job on this beer pong table. I would not to like to guess what this thing would cost if it were on the mass market. The table is sweet and I would not mind playing on it. They shot this more in the dark. It would be hard to play on it in that lighting. I would have to be able to see better then that, I need to be able to see the cups!
This shows me though, that they are good at what they do as Engineers. They have the passion for what they do and can do and also have a passion for the game of beer pong. They sure look like they enjoy what they are doing and can do with a little bit of imagination. They can build me a table anytime they want! I will say that the table would have to be a Michigan table with the good old Maze & Blue. Sorry.
Hey but if there is someone out there that can build me a table Like that let me know!

What a Thousand Cups Can Say

This is really one hell of a beer pong party! They arranged all of these cups on a, what they call a beer pong table, table and made a big assed beer bash out of it. I know there had to be a few beer drinkers that did not make it up to the last cup that was drank.
I like that they had a bowl of water set to the side to keep the beer pong balls clean. It does appear that the one side had been kicking there opponents asses for more then half the game. I am sure that they had at least a pony keg of beer as to being able to keep the glasses full. There was a lot of beer poured at this party.
I do have to say I did like the ending of the video with the arrangement of the cups. They were very imaginative!
That is one way to have a bunch of drinking friends over and making a party out of it! I enjoyed the video and am hoping that you all did to. So set up a beer pong table or beer pong tables if the party is large enough and party on!

Beer Pong Tables and The Party

Beer pong tables have become an ideal addition for anyone’s  home these days. It often happens that a lot of people play the game of beer pong when they have parties in their homes. This is extremely popular with college students and the younger generation.  People often play this game because of their love for beer. The beer pong tables make the whole experience of drinking beer with friends much more enjoyable. If you have a table, you know how easy it is to get the table out when you have people over!

The reason why this game is called beer pong is because this game was originally played on ping pong tables. They use ping pong or table tennis balls to play the game, or you can purchase beer pong balls to go with the beer pong table. Now of course there are a wide variety of tables available. There are tables with different themes and designs. You can now buy a wide variety of beer pong tables online. These are at very affordable rates.

Beer Pong companies have become very innovative in their design of beer pong tables. They have come up with many different designs to make the tables yours.. They have themes of superheroes, celebrities, sports teams for example. Companies have also come up with inflatable tables which you can carry with you where ever you go. Most of these tables can be stored very easily as they can be folded up into suitcase sizes. You can even customize your own table according to your likes.

Beer Pong Play Review

The Beer Pong world has embraced the game that you can find many beer pong tables set up in bars. Even if you do not know or never had played the game they will teach you all of the basics of the game. This video shows the popularity of the game.

Hope that you enjoyed this video as I did. I would hope that you would share this video with other beer pong fans that you know would enjoy it!
As I have stated in earlier blogs, beer pong will never dye out as a fad. The for a day thing is dead when it comes to the popularity of beer pong. This is a game that will stay in the colleges long before you and I have been placed six feet under. The beer pong table has become a form of a status symbol that I do believe will stand the years of time.

There are many tournaments that pay the winners money when they win. The teams that play the tournaments are serious players. they see it as a sport and the world is starting to see it that way also. The big game is played in Los Vegas at the Flamingo and it is pegged as the The World Series of Beer Pong. This years winners where the team, Team Standing Ovation, they walked away with a cool $50,000.

This does not sound like the beer pong that we all love to play will ever fade away.

All I can say is pong on my friends and as they say stay thirsty!

Pride in Their Beer Pong Tables

Any collage that you go to, you will find beer pong tables in most college dorm rooms and frat houses. The students are proud of their beer pong tables that they have and the reason is because of the designs that are splashed on the tops of the tables.

It does not matter how they decorate the rooms or how clean they keep it, they can still say “we have a great room”, but to them they can claim that the beer pong table is the best.

College students are proud of their tables. They do not have a party without having a table available for play, be it a dorm room or a frat house you will find a table. They will use a bathroom door with the hinges on it and a set of garbage cans if need be!

It has been said that the tables of today are becoming a form of expression. They say ” It says a lot, just like anything else now”, it say something about who you are . Like Fraternities have their letters on it – that represents you and you represent that”.

There are companies that will build you a custom table, if the price is right, to your own specs if you wish. People will spend their money on tables like some spend money on a 52 inch flat screen T.V..

There is a sense of pride in owning and having your own beer pong designed table. There are many beer pong tables for sale on the market and internet that can fill that pride for the beer pong player. So pong on you enthusiastic beer pong player! But give the keys up if you have consumed to much of the liquid stuff!!!

How Popular is Beer Pong

Since the 1970′s, the game of Beer Pong has gained huge popularity in many places such as college campuses, basements, garages and even in pools. Many believe the game was invented sometime in the late 70′s and was modeled after the same game played with actual Ping Pong Paddles. Rumor has it that at an unnamed university, there were no Paddles available so the players resorted to just tossing the Ping Pong Balls into the cups instead.

The game of Beer Pong, also called Beirut in some circles, consists of 2-4 players standing at opposite ends of a Beer Pong Table attempting to land the Beer Pong Balls in the the other teams cups, thus making them drink (or chug) the beer that is in the cup that the ball landed in. Typically the cup is filled 1/4 to 1/2 full with beer. The team that hits all the other teams cups first is declared the winner.

There are many rules associated with the game of Beer Pong although the rules will vary at practically every different place that you play. Rollbacks happen when a player or team makes one or both of their shots and gets to shoot again before the other team. Bouncing the ball into an opponents cup makes them drink double although it is quite difficult and the opposing team can try to block a bounced ball. Distraction is also a ploy that can be used by the defending team where gestures are made, noises are made, insults thrown across the table and even some provocative actions when members of the opposite sex are involved. Typically an opponent can request a re-rack of the cups once during each game. Re-rack means that the cups can be re-arranged into virtually any shape to make the shots easier. Popular shapes would be a triangle, diamond, straight line or sidecar.

The supplies you would need for a game of Beer Pong are very simple. All you need is 14 plastic cups, 6 for each team and 2 extra form water to wash the balls. A good supply of Beer Pong Balls, some type of long table, and BEER! Not cheap of beer. You do not want to spoil a party!

Many hard-core players have custom tables for Beer Pong. You can also buy very nice portable, fold up tables that can travel with you wherever you may want to play. These days, there are even Floating Beer Pong Tables to use in a pool or on a calm lake. There is even professional association’s popping up like “The World Series of Beer Pong” which held a 3 day $50,000 Prize Money Tournament in Las Vegas! The Pabst Blue Ribbon sponsored Tournament was held at the Flamingo in January 2009 and featured nearly 800 players from 45 states. Although the game can be an absolute blast and lots of fun with a big group at a party, beer pong players do not drive drunk. Hand over the keys to the designated driver. Pong On!

There are always things to check before going into a beer pong game or hosting a beer pong party. There are also things to check while playing beer pong. I have compiled a few that I will touch on. Maybe you can recognize a few of these things to check!

1. First and for most is the beer! You need to buy cheap, not to cheap, so that you come off as some cheap assed bastard, but as a good host. You want a beer that everyone can drink and be pleased. Always check your cup of beer. You do not want to pick up a cup that is filled with something else and or have a cigarette in it.

2. You have to make sure that the cups are filled high enough that a line drive shot does not spill the cup and make a mess of your girl friends cute outfit. Or boy friend. It is always better to have the cups filled so that the play does not stop to clean up.

3. The beer pong table can be anything that is flat enough like the hall way door, the neighbors picnic table, what ever your pleasure. I prefer the real deal that way you know the table and the bounce, if someone tries a trick shot.

4. Then there is the attitude, we all live the guy that really gets in to the competition and does the dancing around and the yelling. You can take this as a distraction. If this works for him so be it. Personally I prefer the opposite sex distractions. You do not have to swear and cuss if the family is there while you are playing. If you are at school and you are playing another team then give it to them and let the festivities begin.

Have fun and remember it is only a game PONG ON! Play hard!
