If you are like most young men you dream of getting away from under the folks rules and move onto your own crib! If you wish you can have ice cream for breakfast and not have to worry about making a mess in the house! No parents to listen too!

Then when you got older and started going to bars it dawned on you! “A bar in my house”.

That’s where we are today. As a young adult, you’re not getting any younger! In fact, every day you’re getting one step closer to the grave. Pretty soon, you won’t be able to buy any bar furniture because you’ll be dead.

The first thing that you need is an actual bar. If possible you need to set it up against a wall along with bar stools, ones that swivel, and possible with shelves and a sink.

The bar itself doesn’t need to be too fancy. After all, a bar is really nothing more than a counter top used to pour alcohol. As long as you’ve got a counter long enough for at least 1 person to work with, you should be fine.

Other then that you need some storage space to hold your alcohol and a place to put the ice. With it being a home bar you can always store these things some where else in the house. For ideal convenience you should have some drawers and cabinets built into you bar.

Finally, you need some places for your guests to park their big behinds. Its recommended that you set your bar up in an area of the house which already has some seating arrangement. One popular choice is the living room. Because of the frequency with which this room is used, you can turn a simple get together into an alcoholic beverage bonanza!

Yes, there are many different style swivel chairs to choose from. You need to make sure that they are very sturdy and reliably safe. Life will be full of twists and turns. A swivel bar stool will let you do this in style and ease!

While bar stools used to be limited to standard wooden, no back chairs, there has been an increased interest in this particular piece of furniture over the years. And with that increased interest came a series of changes and alterations to that standard format. Now, bar stools come in a huge variety of styles. The frames are still most commonly made of metal or wood, but they vary greatly in height and features. Some are particularly high to accommodate a tall counter. Some are squatter for a shorter bar or counter.

Certain bar stools have no back at all, while others have a mid-size back. And others still have a very tall back. The same is true of armrests. That is, they come in a variety of thicknesses and lengths. Another major distinction between bar stools is that some are the non-swivel variety, while others offer free lateral movement. Whether you choose a wooden swivel bar stool without a back or a metal stationary stool with a full back, the perfect bar stool depends on what you find comfortable and what you find best complements your home.

Social Butterfly That Swivel

Swivel Bar Stools

Deciding on the perfect bar stool for your home or business can be a bit tricky. You want something that is inviting, sturdy, comfortable, and yet attractive. Swivel bar stools are easy to get in and out of which is a real nice feature. They are also simple to clean and put back away after being used. Swivel bar stools come in vast array of styles, so they are great for any location. Falls can sometimes occur with the traditional stool; a counter height swivel stool however, will eliminate this hazard. You need to make sure that the height is right for you and your guests. They are also nice if you want to turn around and talk to someone behind you. Spinning in one until you’re dizzy is not recommended, but the choice is up to you! Sounds like fun but not very practical if you have been partying!

The Retro Look

Do you remember the times of soda pop stools that were popular in the 50′s? If you love the look of those styles, you’ll absolutely love the Michael Godard stools available today. These stools are an absolute American classic featuring his designed swivel seats and shiny metal legs. They look fabulous in an old-fashioned soda fountain shop or in a fun-filled family room or rec room!
