Almost Gone
I have been having a really bad couple of weeks! I am fighting with my computer and have failed miserably! I had to update my security and the damn thing has taken one of my task bars down with it. I have been trying to find it, but with no success.
I see that most of the schools are out for the summer! I am hoping that many of you have not put up your beer pong tables but have taken them home with you. I must say this, “DO NOT PUT THEM IN STORAGE.” There is and always be time for the beer pong games no matter where you are at. Toss the beer pong table into the trunk of your car. Hey, not a bad idea!!! Now you can play beer pong anytime and anywhere you choose to play a game.
I am not able to get to my e-mail, google has chosen to close my account, but there are a few e-mails that have some news about up and coming event for beer pong tournaments. If I can get my account back I will relate them to you. I have been getting hacked in my account for a few weeks from some asses from Romania and Russia. I keep changing my pass word!
Anyway I am hoping that all of you out there will have a safe and happy summer. I would also hope that all of you grads will have a successful working life and that all of your hard work from school pays off for you! Beer Pong Rules!
I’ll Be Back!
Leaving for vacation for a few days. Hope that all of you Beer Pong players hang around
until I get back. I will have a few things to say and write about. Keep the great comments coming, I love to read them and respond back to you! Pong On!!! I will say that there is nothing better then a football tailgate party and a few beers and beer pong games. Seen some real kick ass tables in the parking lots.
Stanley Cup Air Hockey
Professional hockey is only around the corner, you have to love the game! At home you hear the slight whir of the fan turning off and the feeling that you have just won the Stanley Cup Finals! This is how it may feel when you have just beat your opponent to an
air hockey game. To a lot of players, this is how it feels with the power and glory that comes with being an air hockey champion.
Many people do not take it to that level of play when it comes to a simple game of air hockey, but that does not mean that you can not have fun when you are going to play the game. What can even make it better is if you do not have to leave to play the game. That is to say why not get a table and put it in your home and invite friends and neighbors to come over to play a few games of air hockey. You can turn your home into the place to be with a simple air hockey table as a center piece or as an addition to your game room.
There are many air hockey tables available at very good prices along with options for scoring such as manual or electric score boards. You can find tables that are very high quality, that will last a life time. Shop around and compare prices and the needs of what you want.
Minimum Rules for Air Hockey
When you are ready to begin to play the game of air hockey
then you need to know at least the minimum rules to begin to play by. There are at least 5 air hockey rules that you will need to know if you want to play the game the right way.
1) The most over looked rule of the air hockey is the stopping of the puck. More specifically lifting up the mallet and placing it on top of the puck. This is known as “topping” and cannot be done at any time before a serve or after a serve during play.
2) Another rule of play is that many forget at striking the puck is that they cannot reach to for crossing the center line with their mallet. This results in a foul and the puck is given back to the opponent.
3) In reference to the above rule, there is a rule that says “When the puck is in contact with the center line, each player may strike the puck.” So you can strike the puck with your mallet only if it is on the center line.
4) Once the puck passes the center line then the player has 7 seconds to strike the puck and make his shot. Failure to hit the puck back to the opposing player results in a foul and goes back to the opposing player.
5) And the 5th rule is the easiest to remember, what score does it take to win the game. That is easy 7 wins the air hockey game.
So if you want to play by easy rules then these rules are for you. You can always come up with some house rule if you feel adventurous.
Strategy for Foosball to Win By
I have written a few articles on foosball but here are two tips to be a winner! If
you want to be a really good foosball player and a winner, you only have to learn two important strategies – good offense and an impenetrable defense. All other foosball skills fall under these two categories.
When playing foosball defense is king, which is real similar as in real soccer. A good involve learning to resist spinning the rods aimlessly and this is a good start. This move is not allowed in amateur and professional competitions. Besides, if you spin the rods to much, you will loose control of your men and the game in general. Doing just that you’ll make horrible shots that won’t break your opponents defense. To block your opponents shots you have to make sure your men are standing in the upright positions at all times.
As far as offense is concerned, you have to be more aggressive. As being aggressive you have to hit the ball hard, among many other things. The harder the ball is hit the harder it is for your opponent to stop. A hard hit ball is going to be worthless unless it is struck accurately. You have to focus on accuracy and force when you are on the offense – the combination of the these two skill can be deadly. If you master these two skills, you will become a winner of the game of Foosball.
Just like any game, it takes time and practice to become skillful at foosball. You can’t learn all of the basics, techniques and skills of foosball over night. You will have to put some effort into learning and mastering each skill. Don’t worry; your sacrifices will reap great rewards.
Table for Two or Four
Foosball is becoming one of the most popular game sport. You will find these tables at Frat houses and at the back of sports bars.
There were some 150,000 fo
osball tables sold in the United States last year, compared with a peak of 250,000 in the late 70′s. The game can be still found in basements, corporate break rooms and student unions. Just alone the Yahoo has 15 foosball tables at its California head quarters.
Also surprising is the surge in growth comes from the worlds sports stage. With the efforts of the International Soccer Federation formed in 2002, foosball is now officially recognized by the International Olympic Committee, and this year the sport held its third World Cup competition in France where 500 players from 40 countries came together of three days of cut throat rod-spinning. Team USA, with “The Kid” clinched their second consecutive championship title.
We can see just how popular foosball is getting here in the US but also around the world. Maybe there may be a World Cup of table soccer!
Betty White and Beer Pong
Close to a tear now Betty White appeared on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and played the host in a great game of beer pong. Despite being a great sport as
ussual our love Betty tragically lost. On the show, in her whirlwind tour promoting her hosting gig on Saturday Night Live the following night, the Golden Girls alum reappeared on Late Night for a rermatch, what a trooper. Not before she yelled “you cheated” at Jimmy about there last encounter with ping pong balls and beer. To Cool. Sadly though, Betty also lost that match to Jimmy- but of course she was smiling all the way.
Betty you keep on practicing and get better at beer pong and go back and beat Jimmy Fallon. We know that you can do it!
Real Beer Pong
I have been seeing a lot about the Nintendo Wii beer pong game and just have to
wonder if it is any good! Nintendo has been very popular for gamers since its launch in November 2006. There are many Nintendo Wii parties happening every week end among the young and the young at heart!
You can find the Nintendo Wii and “Old Folks Homes”, rehabilitation centers and in the collage dorms. This is where you will find many gaming parties. Now Nintendo has taken the party to another level named the “Party Game”. It has many of the familiar games as Hoop Shoot, Table Hockey, Trivia and also a game called “ping pong”! This seems familiar to me, a lot like “BEER PONG”, with no beer involved.
There are some benefits to this game “ping pong”.
1) No fluids to be spilled on the floor, only empty beer cans to be picked up!
2) The game can be played at a much casual, non-binge drinking fashion!
3)You can play beer pong without drinking basement floor dust bunnies!
I would dare to ask though! “How do you psyche out your the other team”!!!
